I left my first Took Kit class feeling as if I had spent the hour getting a massage. I was relaxed, energized, and ready to take on the rest of my day. The best thing about the class is the benefits of exercising without feeling pained and tired afterward. The next day I was pleased to notice that my glutes and hamstrings were slightly sore, as if I had gone for a short hike, but without the lower back pain I would normally expect.
The exercises did intensify over the next few classes, but never more than I could handle. After finishing the 6-week class, I have noticed improvements to my posture and an awareness of my body that I didn’t have before. I still have a long ways to go on my journey with Pilates, but the Tool Kit class with Amy gave me the knowledge and confidence I needed to progress on to more advanced classes and private sessions.
